What was the difference between an 🏘️ HOA Fee and a Regime Fee?
I had a buyer ask me what the difference was between an 🏘️ HOA Fee and a Regime Fee. Thought this was worth sharing.
🏘️ HOA (Homeowners Association)
Think neighborhood upkeep.
Your HOA covers the big-picture stuff everyone in the community shares:
✨ landscaping & entrances
✨ pools, clubhouses, or playgrounds
✨ roads, lights, ponds, & security gates
✨ admin & insurance for the neighborhood
💰 Usually paid annually or quarterly. It’s your “community care” fee.
🏢 Regime Fee
Think building upkeep.
If you live in a condo, townhome, or villa, you’ll likely pay a Regime fee too.
That covers:
🧱 exterior maintenance & roof
🔥 building insurance
🚛 trash, pest control, water, maybe even cable
🚪 hallways, elevators, or shared parking
💰 Usually paid monthly. It’s your “building care” fee.
Happy Thursday!!! Janet
