Welcome to my blog!
From the Lowcountry Porch to the Pickle Jar
I’ve always believed that selling a home is about more than numbers on a page—it’s about stories, traditions, and connections. My own story begins right here in the Lowcountry, where my family has deep roots. After more than 20 years in real estate, along with a few adventures outside the industry (including running a non-profit and teaching metalsmithing), I’ve learned that the best way to stand out in this business is to lead with authenticity.
That’s how Porch & Pickle was born.
The porch represents Southern hospitality, the front door of a Lowcountry home, and the place where neighbors become friends. The pickle is both playful and personal. In real estate, it’s a reminder that people often come to me when they’re “in a pickle” and need a trusted advisor to guide them through the process. But in my work as a metalsmith, pickle is also the solution used at the bench to clean away fire scale and reveal the true shine of a piece. It felt like the perfect metaphor for what I do in real estate—taking the stress, tarnish, or challenges out of the process so the beauty and value of your home can truly shine.
Porch & Pickle is more than a brand—it’s a promise that you’ll get a trusted advisor who knows the market, understands people, and knows how to make your home unforgettable.
Selling a home on your own can feel like freedom—until it becomes overwhelming. Many For Sale By Owner (FSBO) sellers and homeowners with Expired listings start with good intentions but end up frustrated. If your property hasn’t sold—or if you’ve tried to go it alone—it’s not your fault. The market is complex, buyers are savvy, and online exposure isn’t enough anymore.
That’s where I come in. With over 20 years of experience, deep roots in the Lowcountry, and a proven track record of bringing homes that didn’t sell before back to life, I know how to get you across the finish line.
Why FSBOs Struggle
Limited Exposure: Listing on one or two websites can’t compete with the reach of the MLS, professional networks, and my targeted marketing.
Pricing Pitfalls: Even small pricing mistakes can cost you thousands—or keep your home sitting while buyers pass it by.
Negotiation Pressure: Buyers working directly with FSBOs often expect a discount and know you don’t have professional representation.
Time & Stress: Showing, qualifying buyers, managing contracts, and handling inspections takes more than most sellers realize.
Why Listings Expire
Incorrect Pricing: The #1 reason listings don’t sell. Sometimes it’s too high, other times it doesn’t reflect unique upgrades.
Poor Marketing: Cell phone photos or weak descriptions don’t stand out online.
Limited Follow-Up: Buyers often need multiple touches before making a decision—something busy agents (or sellers alone) sometimes overlook.
What I Do Differently
Strategic Pricing: I study your neighborhood, recent sales, and buyer behavior to price your home for action—not just attention.
Marketing That Works: From professional photography and staging advice to social media, email campaigns, and Porch & Pickle’s branded storytelling, I make sure your home shines.
Local & Personal: My Beaufort roots and network mean I know the backstory of communities, hidden gems buyers want, and the agents who bring serious clients.
Strong Negotiation: I don’t just “list”—I sell. My job is to protect your bottom line and maximize your profit.
Why Work With Me?
I combine the strength of The Greco Group at eXp Realty with the creativity of Porch & Pickle branding to make your home unforgettable. Sellers who once felt stuck often find themselves under contract quickly once I step in.
