Discover the magic of metal clay—a material that can be shaped much like traditional clay and then kiln-fired to become solid bronze.
You’ll learn how to condition, roll, texture, cut, refine and prepare bronze metal clay for firing. Depending on your design choices, you may create a pendant, earrings, charms or several small coordinating pieces.
Your pieces will be kiln-fired by Janet after class and returned to you once firing and finishing are complete.
Every student receives a reusable canvas pouch featuring the Porch & Pickle logo and containing:
• One full 50g package of bronze metal clay
• Smooth round-tube roller
• Nonstick work surface
• Needle/detail tool
• Small brush
• Emery-board-style sanding sticks
• Additional basic metal-clay supplies
Thickness guides and studio texture tools will be provided during class. At home, ordinary playing cards can be used as convenient thickness guides.
Your 50g package belongs to you—anything you don’t use during class goes home in your kit for your next project.
No experience necessary. All materials, kiln firing and the take-home kit are included.

Enrollment is limited to six students, with a minimum of four required for each workshop.
Because materials and take-home kits are purchased specifically for each participant, registrations are transferable but nonrefundable within seven days of class. Earlier cancellations may be refunded less payment-processing fees.
If Porch & Pickle must cancel a workshop or the four-student minimum is not reached, students may receive a full refund or transfer their registration to a future class.
