Welcome to my blog!
From the Lowcountry Porch to the Pickle Jar
I’ve always believed that selling a home is about more than numbers on a page—it’s about stories, traditions, and connections. My own story begins right here in the Lowcountry, where my family has deep roots. After more than 20 years in real estate, along with a few adventures outside the industry (including running a non-profit and teaching metalsmithing), I’ve learned that the best way to stand out in this business is to lead with authenticity.
That’s how Porch & Pickle was born.
The porch represents Southern hospitality, the front door of a Lowcountry home, and the place where neighbors become friends. The pickle is both playful and personal. In real estate, it’s a reminder that people often come to me when they’re “in a pickle” and need a trusted advisor to guide them through the process. But in my work as a metalsmith, pickle is also the solution used at the bench to clean away fire scale and reveal the true shine of a piece. It felt like the perfect metaphor for what I do in real estate—taking the stress, tarnish, or challenges out of the process so the beauty and value of your home can truly shine.
Porch & Pickle is more than a brand—it’s a promise that you’ll get a trusted advisor who knows the market, understands people, and knows how to make your home unforgettable.
